It’s important to us that patrons feel safe whilst working out and having fun.
Please take the time to read through the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre’s Conditions of Entry below.
Conditions of entry are subject to change without notice. Management reserves the right to refuse entry. Refusal to comply with these conditions of entry may result in the removal of the offender from the Centre.
Entry to the facility is only permitted to patrons who agree to have any bag and/or articles of clothing searched on entry and continued presence in the facility is only permitted to patrons who agree to have any bags and/or articles of clothing searched at any time.
GENERAL
- This is a non-smoking venue
- Please observe pool rules at all times
- Please shower before entering the water
- Management reserves the right to refuse entry
- Alcohol is not permitted inside the Centre.
- Any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted into the Centre
- Members and guests are required to follow staff directions at all times, failure to do so may result in eviction from the Centre
- Approved swimwear is to be worn at all times when using aquatic facilities
- Anyone attempting to gain entry without paying or without authorisation will be prosecuted
- Glass bottles, other articles containing glass and sharp objects are not to be carried or used in all dry and aquatic areas
- Abusive, disruptive or offensive behaviour and language are not permitted
- No pets or animals permitted in the Centre, with the exception of Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs
- Phones are not permitted in our learn to swim, spa or multipurpose pools unless approved by staff
- As per our Watch Around Water policy, phones are not to be used by parents/guardians with children under 10 years in their care in the pool hall
- Patrons must not take photos or record video within the centre, unless consent is provided by staff and all persons who may be photographed or recorded
- Under no circumstances are mobile phones to be used in change rooms
- The Centre accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen belongings
- Rollerblades, skateboards, and scooters cannot be left with Front Desk staff while using the Centre
- The user/hirer must indemnify and keep indemnified and hold harmless the Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre Management from and against all actions, claims, penalties, demands, costs, expenses or damages in anyway related to any act or omission of Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre Management or of any persons acting on behalf of the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre Management in respect to the use of services and the facilities at the centre.
CHILD SUPERVISION
- Children under 5 must have a responsible adult in the water and be within arm’s reach at all times
- Children under 10 must be accompanied in the Centre and actively supervised by a responsible person over 16 years of age.
- Children under 10 are not allowed in any areas of the Centre alone.
- If you are visiting the Centre with your child who in 10 years or older they must sit in the Cafe or utilise an appropriate service area such as pool or a holiday program whilst you are attending a Group Fitness class, exercising in the Health Club or swimming in the pool. FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Management reserves the right to inspect any bag and/or articles of clothing for the following prohibited items:

EQUIPMENT
Management reserves the right to inspect any bag and/or articles of clothing for the following prohibited items:
- Whistles and musical instruments
- Unauthorised temporary signage and promotional products
- Fireworks/flares/laser lights
- Chairs/stools
- Unauthorised professional cameras, audio recording equipment or video cameras
HEALTH CLUB
Patrons can access the gym at 16 years of age. Age 13-15 years patrons MUST be a member and receive a health consult and program start (parent or guardian must be present during health consult if under 18yrs of age). For more details please refer to our Health Club Etiquette document.

GROUP FITNESS
Participants must be a minimum of 13 years of age to participate in Group Fitness classes, with the exception of BodyPump requiring the minimum age to be a minimum of 16 years. For more details please refer to our Group Fitness Etiquette document.

SPA AND STEAM
Patrons must be 16 years or older to use the spa and Steam Room. BALC reserves the right to refuse entry to the Spa and Steam Room if appropriate identification of proof of age cannot be presented at reception.
Patrons must obtain a Spa and Steam band from reception prior to entering the facilities.
OTHER
Any other item that in the opinion of management could cause harm or public nuisance.
