Giving every child under 5 the chance to learn vital water saving skills!
Learn2Swim Week will be returning to BALC this October to give children under 5 in the local community the chance to access FREE swimming lessons with our qualified instructors.
An initiative of PoolWerx, Learn2Swim Week is an awareness week aimed at educating parents on the importance of teaching kids aged under 5 to swim. It’s also about reminding everyone about the importance of water safety.
Worldwide, drowning is the number one cause of accidental death in children under 5 years of age. In Australia, one person on average drowns every week. Teaching a child to swim early is the best prevention. And with the warmer weather fast approaching, there is no better time than now to consider lessons for your child.
Learn2Swim Week will run at BALC between Tuesday 2nd October and Thursday 4th October 2018. Children under 5 can access THREE free lessons during the week.
To register your child for free lessons, visit www.learn2swimweek.com and search for Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre. These lessons are open to all children under five not currently enrolled in the BALC Swim School. Hurry, places are strictly limited!
